Description
The SARS-CoV-2 rapid antigen test is based on a colloidal gold immunochromatography assay. During the test, sample extracts (anterior nasal swab) are applied to the test cassettes. If there is SARS-CoV-2 antigen in the extracted extract, the antigen binds to the highly specific, monoclonal SARS-CoV-2 antibody, a complex is formed and then a final color reaction (band).
